Thank you for your interest in enrollment for the 2012 – 2013 school year!
Explore Charter School is an open enrollment, public school—there is no test for admissions. Our acceptance for enrollment is based upon the number of available seats in each grade. To be considered for admissions, you must submit an application. Our school welcomes all students, including those with special needs and students for whom English is not their first language.
We are only accepting waitlist applications at this time for all grades. If you have any questions about enrolling, please contact us via email admissions@explorenetwork.org or give us a call at 718-703-4484.
If the number of applications received exceeds the number of spots available, we will run a lottery at the school on April 11th at 6pm. Explore Charter school gives the following admissions preferences:
Waitlist applications are considered if space becomes available at the beginning of each new school year or when space becomes available at Explore. If your child is next on the wait list we will call the phone numbers you provided on the application and a keep a record. You must call us back within 24 hours of the phone call or the space will be forfeited to the next applicant on the waitlist. Click here to download the waitlist application in English, Spanish, or Creole.
A charter school shall not discriminate against or limit the admission of any student on any unlawful basis, including on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability, intellectual ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, athletic ability, race, creed, national origin, religion or ancestry. A school may not require any action by a student or family (such as an admissions test, interview, essay, attendance at an information session, etc.) in order for an applicant to either receive or submit an application for admission to that school.
